A concession will be signed for the construction of the Northern Bypass of Omsk

The government of the Omsk region has agreed on a draft concession agreement for the construction of the Northern Bypass of Omsk.
The project provides for the construction of a category I-B highway with a length of 62.43 km, a bridge over the Irtysh, a bridge over the Om, 15 overpasses and 7 traffic interchanges with a predicted traffic intensity of 42,000 vehicles per day in the Omsk and Lyubinsky districts.
– The northern bypass is the largest infrastructure project in the region. Thanks to it, we will be able to significantly reduce the traffic load on city highways – the mileage of transit transport bypassing the city of Omsk will be reduced by more than 20 km. At the same time, the carbon footprint in the city will also be significantly reduced. After the construction of the bypass, the load on the outbound routes will also decrease by 10–15%,” Governor Alexander Burkov noted.
Information about the auction will be posted soon. The total construction cost of the facility will amount to 63.3 billion rubles. The term of the agreement is 40 years. The term for the development of project documentation is 18 months, and the construction period is 45 months.
Recall that the Northern Bypass is located on the territory adjacent to the Avangard SEZ. The construction of this infrastructure facility will increase the attractiveness for investors.
