Alexander Novak held a meeting on supporting investments in the development of small towns in the country

The parties discussed measures to stimulate the economic, social, infrastructural, and tourist development of small towns and rural settlements.

Their result should be an increase in the attractiveness of small towns in Russia for the life of citizens, the development of entrepreneurship and industry, and the creation of conditions for attracting investments in such territories.

The Deputy Prime Minister instructed to create a working group under the Ministry of Economic Development for the development of small towns and rural settlements with the participation of federal and regional authorities. During its work, it is planned to adapt the mechanisms for financing investment projects with the creation of new jobs to the conditions of application in small towns and rural settlements, provide for expenses for industrial mortgages, integrate small towns into the programs of the Industrial Development Fund and national projects for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as individual entrepreneurship.
