Avangard Meets with Inner Mongolia Provincial Government

On April 7, a working meeting between representatives of the Avangard SEZ and the provincial government was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Mikhail Derevyanko, Deputy Director General for SEZ Development, held talks with the Trade Committee, where the parties discussed prospects for attracting Chinese enterprises to Russia.

The main topic of the meeting was the creation of favorable conditions for launching food and processing industries in the Avangard SEZ. The parties expressed interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation and exchanged views on possible mechanisms for supporting and stimulating investment.

Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia, is an important industrial center. It is home not only to an oil refinery, but also to large food industry enterprises. The dairy factories of two giants of China’s dairy industry, Yili Group and Mengniu Dairy, stand out in particular. In addition, Hohhot is home to a Tetra Pak plant, which produces food packaging.
