Avangard Participated in the Chengdu Food Manufacturers’ Fair
The 114th China Food & Drinks Fair (CFDF) was held in Chengdu, China, from March 26 to 28. Founded in 1955, it is the largest industry event in Asia and is deservedly considered a “barometer” of the Chinese food industry. This year, the event once again confirmed its scale: the total exhibition space was 325,000 square meters, bringing together more than 6,600 exhibitors. The international exhibition, occupying 60,000 square meters, brought together approximately 2,000 brands from over 50 countries, making this a key venue for establishing business contacts and developing international cooperation in the food industry.
Mikhail Derevyanko, Deputy General Director of the Avangard SEZ, was part of the Omsk Region delegation at the fair. The main goal of his visit was to establish direct contacts with foreign food producers. Mikhail held a series of negotiations, inviting Chinese companies to Omsk to enter the Russian market. Particular emphasis was placed on the prospect of launching production in the new territory granted to the Avangard SEZ last year. Several Chinese companies with a successful presence in the Russian market, including producers of canned fruit, peanuts, cookies, and snacks, have already expressed interest in locating their facilities in Omsk.
“Participation in such large-scale industry exhibitions is an effective tool for establishing initial connections with potential investors,” commented Mikhail Derevyanko. “Direct dialogue with company management allows us to significantly shorten the time from initial contact to the implementation of joint projects.”
The trip was made possible thanks to the support of the Omsk Region Export Support Center, which actively assists regional enterprises and development institutions in promoting their interests internationally.
