Meeting of the SEZ “Avangard” with the Consul General of the Republic of Korea

On September 13, a meeting with the Consul General of the Republic of Korea was held at the Omsk Regional Business Incubator.

Consul General of South Korea Mr. Kim Se-woong arrived in the city of Omsk on a visit and held a number of business meetings with representatives of the regional administration, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Omsk Region Development Fund named after S.I. Manyakin and representatives of the special economic zone of industrial-production type “Avangard”.

Within the meeting, which took place in the Omsk regional business incubator, from the Russian side were present: President of the Omsk Region Development Fund named after S.I. Manyakin, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly Stepan Stepanovich Bonkovsky, Vice-President of the Fund, businessman Pavel Nikolaevich Kruchinsky, General Director of the Avangard SEZ Viktor Yuryevich Sobolev, Deputy General Director of the Avangard SEZ Mikhail Yuryevich Derevianko.

The parties discussed the successful experience of interaction between the All-Russian Public Organization “All-Russian Association of Koreans” and the Fund of S.I. Manyakin. The parties noted the significant contribution of the Consul General to the development of Russian-Korean relations and the President of the Foundation awarded Mr. Kim with the Order of S.I. Manyakin.

After discussing the achievements in the field of culture, sports and social activities, Deputy General Director of the SEZ “Avangard” Mikhail Derevyanko presented to the Korean guests information about the benefits and preferences that companies receive when locate production facilities in the territory of the Special Economic Zone. Following the presentation, General Director Viktor Sobolev answered the questions of the Consul General.

The special economic zone of industrial and industrial type “Avangard” aroused keen interest among the Korean guests and the parties agreed that the Korean consulate would disseminate information about the SEZ among Korean companies planning to enter the Russian market.

At the end of the event, the parties exchanged gifts and took a memorable group photo.
