Omsk Region is changing the rules of the game for business: initial results of work on the investment climate
Yesterday, an open dialogue between government and business took place in the Congress Hall, summing up the initial results of the extensive work ordered by Governor Vitaly Pavlovich Khotsenko. The shared goal is to make Omsk Region one of the most comfortable regions in Russia for doing business.
At the meeting, government representatives reported on specific steps to entrepreneurs, unions, and associations.
What is already changing for the better?
✅ Reduced timeframes. Land transactions and title registration are now faster.
✅ Simplification of processes. Businesses require fewer steps and approvals.
✅ Digitalization. Services are being actively converted to electronic format.
✅ Dialogue with business. Seminars, consultations, and direct lines with entrepreneurs are held regularly.
What are the agencies working on right now?
Each ministry and agency focused on its own part of the larger plan:
🏗 The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of the Omsk Region is streamlining construction permits and land acquisition through tenders.
📄 The Ministry of Property Relations of the Omsk Region is accelerating cadastral registration and rights registration.
⚡️ The Ministry of Energy, Housing, and Utilities of the Omsk Region is simplifying grid connection.
📊 The Ministry of Economic Development of the Omsk Region is streamlining land allocation for large-scale investment projects without tenders.
🏙 The Department of Property Relations of the Omsk City Administration is improving procedures for leasing city land.
🎯 The Development and Investment Agency of the Omsk Region is supporting investors through a one-stop shop. By the end of the year, more than 50 promising projects will be listed on the Omsk Region Investment Portal for implementation.
The work continues! These are just the first results of this systematic effort.
