The special economic zone “Avangard” was created in Omsk
Prime Minister of Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the creation of a special economic zone of industrial and production type “Avangard” in Omsk.
According to IA “OMSKREGION”, the SEZ will be located on an area of almost 1200 acres in the north-western industrial hub of the city. The list of anchor residents includes four large chemical enterprises. Among them are Gazprom Neft – Bitumen Materials, GC Titan and Osnova Holding. The total volume of investments will amount to over 23 billion rubles.
SEZ participants receive preferential conditions – reduced rates for income tax and transport tax. According to forecasts, deductions from anchor projects to the budget by 2030 will exceed 10 billion rubles.
According to the Governor of the Omsk Region Alexander Burkov, the creation of the Avangard SEZ is a large-scale project for the region. It is important both from the point of view of attracting investments, and in general for the restructuring of the industrial base of the region and the implementation of projects significant for the whole of Russia. They provide for deeper redistribution of petrochemical raw materials for the production of products imported from abroad.
