Avangard builds infrastructure for its residents
Avangard is building infrastructure for its residents
The special economic zone is building a gas distribution network with a total length of 4 kilometers, which will cover the gas needs of existing and potential residents. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024.
It is laying networks to connect residents to high-speed Internet. The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-October of this year.
It is also building an access road to the territory of the special economic zone. Earthworks and planning work have already been carried out. The length of this section will be 1.1 kilometers. A two-lane highway with a railway crossing should be built by August 2025.
Let us recall that the special economic zone “Avangard” is located near existing enterprises in the industrial hub of the Soviet District of Omsk. Various production facilities will be located on its territory, including import-substituting ones, which will undergo an environmental safety assessment and must meet the requirements. Without fulfilling the environmental safety conditions, it is impossible to become a resident of the SEZ.
We will add that the plans of the regional Government to expand the territory of the special economic zone were first announced by Governor Vitaly Khotsenko last year. At that time, the head of the region tasked the economic block with preparing expansion options. In June of this year, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Andrei Shpilenko reported that a new site on the Left Bank of Omsk is being prepared for the Avangard SEZ, where food production and logistics facilities will be located. Currently, regional authorities are dealing with land issues, in particular, the preparation and formation of sites for the expansion of the SEZ.
