Avangard Invites BRICS Investors to Omsk
At the invitation of the Digital Development Agency, with the support of the International Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs “MOST,” Mikhail Derevyanko, Deputy Director General of the Avangard Special Economic Zone, delivered a presentation at the Smart Manufacturing and Robotics Forum, held on September 17, 2025, in Xiamen, China, as part of the BRICS Partnership for a New Industrial Revolution.
The forum brought together key industry players, including heads of ministries and agencies from BRICS countries, leading experts and business representatives, such as Vice Governor of Fujian Province Lin Ruiliang, General Coordinator of the BRICS Partnership Thiago Pinto (Brazil), as well as representatives of the business and scientific community.
In his speech at the session “Industrial Robots and Software for Efficient Automated Production,” Mikhail Derevyanko presented Russia’s experience in integrating AI-based systems for controlling industrial robots. He detailed practical examples demonstrating how AI technologies improve the precision, speed, and reliability of automated production lines, reducing costs and minimizing human labor.
The report placed particular emphasis on the potential for international cooperation. Presenting the Omsk Region as one of Siberia’s key industrial and logistics hubs, Mikhail Derevyanko invited foreign companies to implement investment projects in the region.
“In China, they say, ‘One person cannot plant a forest.’ We are confident that through such partnerships, within the BRICS framework, we can jointly create effective solutions for global industry. The Omsk Region, with its developed infrastructure, industrial potential, and special economic conditions in the Avangard SEZ, is open to joint high-tech projects and invites companies from BRICS countries to actively collaborate,” Mikhail Derevyanko noted in his speech.
The event also included the launch ceremony of the BRICS Smart Manufacturing and Robotics Adaptation Center, the presentation of a collection of best practices, and a series of presentations on the future of industrial automation.
