Chinese investors see prospects in Omsk Oblast

At the plenary session dedicated to the implementation of investment projects in Omsk Oblast, government and business representatives discussed prospects for cooperation with Chinese companies. The key figures responsible for economic development and business support in the region acted as experts: First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Omsk Oblast Denis Kushner, Deputy General Director of JSC “Agency for Development and Investment of Omsk Oblast” Galina Goncharova, General Director of JSC “SEZ PPT “Avangard” Viktor Sobolev, Director of “FRP Omsk Oblast” Svetlana Bazhenova, representative of the All-Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship “Opora Rossii” in China in Guangdong Province Ilona Gorsheneva-Doluts, as well as General Director of the Chinese company OOO “Axibo (Ingkou) trade and consulting” Li Xipeng.

The key topic of discussion was “The Chinese view of production localization in Omsk Oblast”. The discussion touched upon issues of concern to Chinese business. Particular attention was paid to the difficulties associated with differences in the legal systems of different countries, regulatory frameworks, and the choice of the optimal location for investment projects. In response to these concerns, government officials assured Chinese business of their readiness to provide comprehensive support, help understand all the legal intricacies, and select the most promising sites for implementing their plans.

The Avangard special economic zone in Omsk Oblast was named as an example of an attractive territory. Thanks to the preferential regime and favorable conditions for investors, it represents an excellent opportunity for business development.
