Governor Vitaly Khotsenko signed a decree on the designation of “responsible business” in the Omsk Region.
The decree establishes transparent selection criteria, the procedure for assigning, renewing, and terminating the status, and defines the procedure for maintaining an open registry of such companies.
Basic indicators:
🔷 Business Reputation Index (EKG Rating),
🔷 or compliance with the business public capital standard.
They assess a company’s social and environmental responsibility, as well as its economic performance.
✅️The status is assigned for two years with the possibility of automatic renewal upon confirmation of compliance with the criteria. An annual audit of all responsible entities will be conducted until July 1.
✅️Information about companies that have received the status will be posted in the open registry on the Omskportal in the “Sustainable Development” section.
Anna Negoduyko, Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk Region:
“We propose using a business reputation index (EKG rating) with a threshold of at least 91 points. According to our data, there are over 6,000 such entities in the region—approximately 480 legal entities and 5,600 individual entrepreneurs. The second criterion, related to the business public capital standard, is a new assessment system that came into effect this year. Responsible companies will be able to apply for the status and, subsequently, for support measures. We hope that the open registry will become a benchmark for Omsk residents when choosing reliable partners and employers.”
According to the ANO “Public Capital,” approximately 40 companies in the region are currently being assessed for compliance with the federal Business Public Capital Standard.
A specific list of financial and non-financial support measures for responsible businesses is planned to be discussed at the Sustainable Development Council at the end of March, with the participation of government agencies, the Omsk City Hall, and the public.
