Industrial tourism in the Omsk region is gaining momentum
Members of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region were able to evaluate the quality system, technology and transparency of management, and learn interesting facts about beer production and the culture of its responsible consumption. A delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region Andrey Shpilenko visited the Omsk brewery AB InBev Efes, the largest beer producer beyond the Urals.
Since 2012, about 17,000 industrial tourists have visited the Omsk brewery. More than 20 brands and 40 types of beer are produced here, including Sibirskaya Korona, Old Miller from a Barrel, Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Bud, Klinskoye and many others.
As part of the excursion, participants were taken through the main production departments: brewing, packaging, prefabricated filtration, and most importantly, they were shown malting production, where tourists saw with their own eyes the raw material from which beer is brewed – malt.
“Today we visited another unique facility – the AB InBev Efes enterprise, where we saw how smoothly the production works. Industrial tourism helps an enterprise demonstrate that a blue-collar profession is not only prestigious, but also highly paid, and also strengthens loyalty and trust in its products. We saw cleanliness, order and high organization. The Omsk region and even the Russian Federation can be proud of enterprises such as AB InBev Efes,” noted Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region.
The regional team highly appreciated the modern and advanced technologies of the plant, the use of lean manufacturing tools, and the organization and conduct of the excursion tour at all stages: from safety briefings to tasting.
