Mechanism for supporting industrial cooperation in the EAEU

On February 7, a working meeting of AIP Russia experts with representatives of the Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission was held.
➡The meeting discussed a mechanism for supporting industrial cooperation in the EAEU. The Eurasian Economic Commission, together with representatives of businesses and authorized government agencies of the Union countries, has developed a mechanism for financial support for cooperation projects in industrial sectors.
➡This mechanism may be of interest to residents of industrial parks, special economic zones, technology parks, as well as members of the AIP Industrial Committee, as participants in cooperation chains.
The main features of the mechanism:
💙 Objective: support for cooperation within the EAEU.
💙 Form of support:
subsidizing the interest rate on loans and credits issued by financial institutions for the implementation of joint cooperation projects in industrial sectors aimed at creating new or modernizing existing production facilities.
💙Project requirements: the project must involve at least 3 participants from 3 EAEU member states.
💙Product requirements: Industrial products manufactured or supplied within the framework of the project from the territory of the Member States must have an ST-1 certificate (CIS Agreement of November 20, 2009) or be considered to originate from a Member State in accordance with the Rules for Determining the Country of Origin (Decision of the EEC Council of November 23, 2020 No. 105).
