New support measures for agribusiness: details from the government

A time of opportunity for agriculture! The Russian government is expanding support measures for farmers, cooperatives, and small agricultural enterprises. A large-scale federal project, “Small Agribusiness Development,” will launch in 2026.

📊 The total funding for these purposes in the 2026 federal budget will amount to almost 14 billion rubles.

What’s new?

➡️ Grant and subsidy for the development of agritourism in the region.

· Amount: from 5 million to 10 million rubles (depending on the type of support)
· Condition: the grant amount depends on the amount of co-financing.
· Grant utilization period: 18 months.

➡️ Grants and subsidies to support peasant farms in the region
· Amount: from 3 million to 10 million rubles (depending on the type of support)
· Condition: the grant amount depends on the amount of co-financing.
· Grant repayment period: 18 months.

➡️ Support for agricultural consumer cooperatives (both existing and start-ups) in the form of grants and subsidies

At the federal level, the following are provided:
· Grant for the organization of a small rural bakery
· Support for agro-aggregators (cooperatives for the purchase, processing, and marketing of farm produce).
