Omsk presented its investment potential at the China (Inner Mongolia) – Russia Forum
A representative of the Avangard SEZ, Mikhail Derevyanko, made an investment presentation at the China (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region) – Russia Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum held today in Hohhot.
The event was aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between the northern regions of China and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The key topic of the forum was the development of cross-border cooperation, as well as the presentation of specific business opportunities on both sides.
The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, being an important border region of China, has historically served as a bridge in trade with Russia. A significant volume of cargo passes through its territory, in particular through the city of Manzhouli, which makes the region a strategically important hub within the Belt and Road initiative.
Deputy Director General of the Avangard SEZ Mikhail Derevyanko in his speech told the Chinese partners in detail about the investment potential of Omsk and the Omsk Region. He noted the key advantages of the region: favorable logistics location, developed industrial base, availability of qualified personnel and measures of state support for investors, including in the territory of the special economic zone.
“Omsk is open for cooperation and is ready to offer Chinese investors favorable conditions for the implementation of projects in various sectors of the economy. We invite businesses from China to an active dialogue and joint work,” said Mikhail Derevyanko.
The Forum was attended by officials from the regions of China and Russia, including representatives of Inner Mongolia, the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Republic of Buryatia, the Tomsk Region and other entities.
