Omsk Region Ranked in Top 10 in National Rating of Investment Climate in Russian Regions
Today, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) presented the results of its annual National Rating of Investment Climate in Russian Regions. This year, thanks to the efforts of the team led by Governor Vitaly Khotsenko, Omsk Region improved its position and entered the top 10 regions with the best conditions for business and investors.
It should be noted that the ASI National Rating is compiled annually in collaboration with leading business associations, experts, and entrepreneurs. This year, the rating assessed regional authorities’ efforts to create favorable conditions for business based on 88 indicators. More than half a million entrepreneurs were surveyed by InvestRating. The assessment methodology includes the speed and ease of administrative procedures, the availability of infrastructure and resources, the effectiveness of business-friendly institutions, and measures to support small businesses.
The Omsk Region is undertaking systematic and extensive efforts to attract investors and create a favorable business environment. Comprehensive measures have been adopted to reduce bureaucratic procedures, expedite connections to utility networks and communications, and reduce the time required to issue construction permits and register land plots. The region also implements a comprehensive set of regional and federal business support measures.
The Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency works with investors using a one-stop shop principle, providing administrative support for every investment project, from conception to launch.
