Last week, a strategic meeting with the Consul General of the Republic of India in Yekaterinburg, Debabrata Chattopadhyay, and Consul Anurag Nayan was held at the My Business Center. The main topic on the agenda was how Omsk businesses can effectively become suppliers to one of the world’s largest markets.

What areas are currently the Indian side’s focus?

The result of the meeting is not just a memorandum of understanding, but a roadmap for concrete actions:
✅ The Omsk Region Export Support Center is already preparing relevant export proposals for Indian partners.
✅ The Consulate General, in turn, will provide a list of Indian companies interested in cooperation with Russia. This will allow for substantive negotiations, bypassing cold contacts.

Plans include online meetings between companies (primarily residents of the Avangard SEZ), new business missions, and joint events in India.
