Rebooting the activities of the Regional Agency for Development and Investment of the Omsk Region

On December 13, a visiting meeting of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region on economic policy and investment for 2024 took place at the site of the regional Congress Hall.

The event was organized by the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region on Economic Policy and Investment and the regional Agency for Development and Investment.

Participating in the strategic session were deputies of the Omsk parliament of the new convocation, representatives of the executive authorities of the regional Government, the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Omsk Region, the Main State Legal Directorate of the Omsk Region, the prosecutor’s office, as well as specialists from the regional Development and Investment Agency.

The agenda included a discussion of the work plan of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region on Economic Policy and Investment for 2024, certain issues on supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the Omsk Region and the need to amend regional laws taking into account changes in federal legislation in November – December 2023 of the year.

During the offsite meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, representative of the Omsk Region to the Government of the Russian Federation Andrey Shpilenko and General Director of the regional Development and Investment Agency Evgeniy Kovtun spoke about the restart of the Agency’s activities and future plans.

The speakers spoke about new areas of the Agency’s activities in 2024: analysis of value chains, conclusion of offset contracts, formation of a regional cluster investment platform and participation of the Agency team in the implementation of industrial tourism in the Omsk region.
