At the Made in China 2025 forum, experts discussed the Strategy for the Development of the Transit Potential of the Omsk Region and Integration into International Logistics Corridors.
The discussion was moderated by Ilona Gorsheneva-Doluts, representative of the All-Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship “Opora Rossii” in China in Guangdong Province.
The event featured reports covering various aspects of the development of the transport infrastructure and logistics capabilities of the region.
Igor Kozhukhov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Omsk Region, spoke about plans for the development of the region’s transport network.
Sergey Kinfator, Deputy Head of the Omsk Customs Post, emphasized the potential of the Omsk Region as a promising transport and logistics hub, especially in the context of the transit of Chinese goods.
Vladislav Onopa, Commercial Director of Omskoye Prodovolstvie LLC, presented information on the region’s capabilities in the field of railway container transportation.
Sergey Cherkay, Director of Interkontakt RUS LLC, Head of the Committee on Foreign Economic Activity and Logistics of the regional branch of Opora Rossii, focused on the prospects for the development of automobile transit through Kazakhstan and its feasibility for Omsk Oblast.
Vadim Tsygankov, Director of Makosh Agropark, spoke about the capabilities of warehouse logistics in Omsk Oblast and the prospects for developing this area.
Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, Deputy Manager, Head of the Center for Supporting Participants in Foreign Economic Activity, spoke about the support measures available to export- and import-oriented companies in Omsk Oblast.
Igor Kiryukhin, owner of ProSMD, shared his experience in importing components and equipment for instrument making from China.
Natalia Fedotova, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Omsk Region, concluded the panel discussion and spoke about the opportunities that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides for the development of international economic cooperation.
During the discussion, the forum participants came to the conclusion that the Omsk Region has significant transit potential, which can be realized through the development of transport infrastructure, improvement of logistics processes and active cooperation with international partners.
