The Governor of the Omsk Region held a meeting at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. SEZ “Avangard” is one of the drivers of economic growth in the Omsk region.
At a meeting in Moscow on February 11, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov and Governor Alexander Burkov discussed how to attract investment to the region and raise the standard of living of the population. The means to achieve these goals should be the program of socio-economic development of the region.
The Ministry of Economic Development quotes Minister Reshetnikov:
The new program should give impetus to the development of the region’s economy. It is important to raise wages and the standard of living of the population in the Omsk region by increasing labor productivity, using the transit potential and tools that the region already has, such as a special economic zone.
Governor Burkov said that he included measures to develop infrastructure and comprehensive improvement in the program, since among the main problems of the Omsk region are poor environmental conditions, the poor quality of the urban environment and the migration outflow of the population.
According to the plans of the regional government, more than 700 jobs should appear in the Avangard special economic zone. Announced 45 billion rubles of investment in the SEZ. The Special Economic Zone is located in the Soviet District. It will specialize in the petrochemical industry.
