The implementation of the municipal investment standard has begun in the Omsk region
The Omsk region is successfully implementing elements of the Municipal Investment Standard in the region. The Development and Investment Agency of the Omsk Region signed agreements with the Administration of the city of Omsk and 32 municipalities. The purpose of the agreements is to create favorable conditions for the implementation of investment projects and increase the investment attractiveness of municipalities.
It should be noted that the municipal investment standard (hereinafter referred to as MIS) is a continuation of the Reginveststandard and is designed to streamline work with investors locally. MIS includes a structured set of documents regulating procedures for supporting the planning and implementation of investment projects, coordinating the activities of local governments in the provision of municipal services and promoting investment opportunities and municipal projects.
As part of the implementation of MIS, the Agency entered into cooperation agreements with the Administration of the city of Omsk and municipalities for more effective communication: it helps to form investment profiles for each district, assists in the preparation of investment proposals and attracting investors to implement projects in municipal districts, publishes current information on the Investment portal of the Omsk region information about the potential of municipalities.
“The introduction of the municipal investment standard will expand the boundaries and prospects for the development of municipalities of the Omsk region in the field of socio-economic and investment activities. This mechanism helps to establish equal rights to carry out investment activities and improves investor interaction with authorities and resource supply organizations, which is important for investors who want to invest their money in promising projects and choose sites for their implementation,” noted the General Director of the Development and Investment Agency Omsk region Evgeniy Kovtun.
