A working meeting of the curators of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region was held in Omsk. On the agenda are the final stages of preparation for the practical session of the working group.

In the near future, members of the working group, which includes executive authorities, leading industrial enterprises of the region, development institutions, business support structures, universities, tour operators, tour guides, will gather at the regional Congress Hall.

The working meeting will be chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, representative of the Omsk Region under the Government of the Russian Federation Andrey Shpilenko. The main goal of the session will be presentations of excursion industrial routes of participating enterprises.

“It is important for the region to increase investment potential through the mechanism for the development of industrial tourism. This mechanism will help us increase confidence in domestic, our local producers, increase interest in blue-collar professions among young people, and attract domestic and foreign tourists,” shared Andrey Shpilenko.

Let us recall that at the end of 2023, the regional team for the development of industrial tourism began training as part of the all-Russian educational program “Open Industry”. After training and defending their projects, the working group participants will master a new profession – “Industrial Tourism Development Specialist” and receive a state-issued certificate of additional education.
