On February 7, as part of an on-site practical session, members of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region visited the Omsk Rubber enterprise (part of the Titan Group of Companies), where they made an exciting journey into the world of petrochemicals
“Industrial tourism is a tool that allows us to open up the region, make sure our youth that Omsk industrial enterprises are at a high technological level, fall in love with blue-collar professions, and also attract investment. Today we visited the exemplary enterprise Omsk Rubber to show each member of the working group how an industrial route is built, how safety precautions are observed, and how the enterprise pursues an environmentally friendly policy. During the strategic session, we discussed how each enterprise participating in the educational program can do the same or even better. And on February 29, we plan to present the first industrial tourist route of the Omsk region as part of the on-site internship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia “Federal Practice” to representatives of executive authorities and business of the Siberian Federal District,” shared Andrey Shpilenko.
After a safety briefing and the distribution of protective clothing, the participants went on a sightseeing bus tour, where they learned about the main production processes that take place at the plant and what products the company produces. General Director of Omsk Rubber Sergei Ivanilov showed members of the working group on the development of industrial tourism the modern production of phenol and acetone, a workshop for the production of isopropyl alcohol, and the production of high-octane additives and liquefied hydrocarbon gases.
During the session, the working group participants discussed the packaging of the excursion, the technological map of the route, and assessed the excursion from the point of view of the consumer and a specialist in the development of industrial tourism.
