Omsk region is developing industrial clusters
The third meeting of the working group to improve the competitiveness of enterprises participating in industrial clusters of the Omsk region took place at the site of the regional Congress Hall. The agenda included discussions on the development of a cluster of electrical equipment, electronic and optical products.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region Andrey Shpilenko.
“The formation and development of regional clusters stimulates an increase in labor productivity, the formation of new companies and the creation of new jobs, and contributes to the formation of competitive advantages of the Omsk region that help attract investment. Many thanks to the industrial enterprises of the region for the fact that they are beginning to actively understand the work we are doing together. One of the main objectives of cluster policy is to eliminate bottlenecks and restrictions that undermine the competitiveness of manufactured products within the value-added production chain, as well as ensuring an increase in the competitive advantages of cluster participants,” noted Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Andrey Shpilenko.
During the meeting, the director of the regional Industrial Development Fund, Svetlana Bazhenova, spoke about the methodology of the Specialized Organization of Industrial Clusters (operating on the basis of the Fund), about possible measures of state support, and also presented roadmaps for participants in the industrial cluster.
