Omsk will receive additional government support for the development of the SEZ “Avangard”

The deadline for reimbursing the costs of developing the infrastructure of special economic zones has been extended threefold – up to 15 years.
The Russian government has expanded measures of federal support for special economic zones. By Resolution No. 1446, Prime Minister Mikhail MISHUSTIN extended the deadline for state support for such territories from 5 to 15 years. During this period, the regions will be able to receive from the federal budget compensation for the costs of creating, modernizing, and reconstructing infrastructure facilities for technoparks, industrial parks and special economic zones.
The government of the Russian Federation reports that 8 regions requested additional measures of support: Voronezh, Ivanovsk, Omsk, Penza, Sverdlovsk, and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as the republics of Komi and Tatarstan. Federal authorities hope that now the regions will have more incentives to create and develop special economic zones.
The special economic zone “Avangard”, created in 2020, is located in the northwest of Omsk – in the Soviet district. It specializes in the petrochemical and chemical industries.
