SEZ “Avangard” took part in the strategic session “PRO invest”

On November 15, a Strategic Session was held at the Omsk Congress Hall to improve the position of the Omsk region in the National Investment Climate Ranking. The session was attended by representatives of business and government, including the heads of JSC “SEZ “Avangard”. The session was moderated by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region Andrey Viktorovich Shpilenko.

Since 2014, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives has been maintaining the National Investment Climate Rating, which is an indicator of the efforts of regional authorities to create favorable business conditions and identifies best practices. The rating results stimulate competition in the fight for investments at the regional level.

“The governor of the region, Vitaly Pavlovich Khotsenko, has set the task to ensure that the investment attractiveness of the region is high, and we enter the top ten investment-attractive regions. We must make sure that investors want to come to the region to invest money,” Andrei Shpilenko noted.

For several months, regional authorities, together with entrepreneurs, discussed the region’s position in the ranking for each of the indicators. Based on these discussions, regional ministries and departments have prepared and are already implementing a number of activities. Based on the results of the “PRO Invest” strategic session, where additional wishes and comments were voiced during the discussion by business, the Omsk authorities will prepare a roadmap for improving the investment climate indicators. The road map will undergo expert assessment by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and federal experts are also expected to arrive in Omsk in December.
