SEZ IPT “Avangard” will implement an ESG-model of the infrastructure site aimed at achieving sustainable development goals
Experts from AC&T RF, together with the management of the SEZ IPT “Avangard”, held an inception meeting and outlined the main steps to implement the infrastructure platform model aimed at achieving the SDGs. The parties determined that work to implement the model should be completed within nine months. During this period, an ESG audit will be conducted, ESG data will be generated, a sustainability report will be prepared, a sustainable development strategy will be developed, as well as a resident policy and stakeholder engagement policy.
“Interest in sustainable development among infrastructure sites is steadily increasing, as more and more management companies understand the strategic importance of the agenda both in terms of creating favorable living and working conditions for the region’s population, and in terms of increasing investment attractiveness. The management of the SEZ IPT “Avangard” is also aware of this, and therefore has decided to carry out step-by-step work to introduce ESG principles into its activities” – Daria Gulyaeva, Deputy Director for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development, AC&T RF.
Daria Gulyaeva also noted that today the Avangard SEZ is the first SEZ that has begun to develop a resident policy and a policy for interaction with stakeholders.
